This policy explains how Penny Desktop handles information on pennydesktop.com. It covers browsing, our calculators, and messages sent through our Contact page. It describes our current setup and separately explains the advertising practices that would apply if ads are enabled later.
Information you choose to send
Our contact form asks for your email address, subject, and message. Your name is optional. We use this information to read your request, respond when appropriate, and investigate corrections or technical problems.
The form uses Contact Form 7 to send your submission to the site administrator through Hostinger’s mail service to a Google-hosted mailbox. Those hosting and email providers process the message and may retain it in mailboxes, logs, or backups under their own practices. We have not installed a plugin that saves form submissions in the WordPress database, and the form currently has no reCAPTCHA or other external form integration. This does not mean an emailed message is never stored.
Please do not send account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, tax documents, or other sensitive financial information. A general description is usually enough for a question or correction.
Calculator inputs
Our calculators run in your browser. They do not ask for your name, upload the values you enter to our server, make network requests with those values, or save them in browser storage. Calculator inputs are separate from information you deliberately send through the contact form.
Loading a calculator page still involves a normal website visit, so the technical information described below may be processed even though the numbers you calculate stay in your browser.
Technical information and cookies
Our hosting provider may process routine server information such as your IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, and access time. Hosting, caching, and security services may use technical information to deliver pages, maintain performance, and help protect the site.
WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and related site-management functions. We do not offer visitor accounts or a newsletter. We do not currently use Google Analytics or advertising cookies. Browser settings can help you manage or block cookies, although blocking technical cookies can affect some functions.
Advertising and outside links
Penny Desktop currently does not display Google ads, use affiliate links, publish sponsored placements, or work with other active ad networks. AdSense account-verification metadata and our ads.txt file identify our publisher account; they do not themselves display ads or set advertising cookies, and verification does not imply Google endorsement. No advertising script, Google Analytics, or consent management platform (CMP) is currently loaded. We do not send calculator inputs or contact messages to Google for ad targeting.
If Google ads are enabled later: Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show ads based on visits here and elsewhere. Ad requests and interactions may involve processing an IP address, browser and request information, cookie identifiers, and ad views or clicks for delivery, personalization, measurement, and security. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google’s ad settings and of some participating third-party vendors’ personalized advertising cookies at YourAdChoices. Opting out does not stop all ads or all cookies; browser cookie controls are separate.
Before enabling ads, we will update this policy and prepare the applicable regional consent and privacy choices. For personalized Google ads in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Google’s publisher requirements call for a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. We will also address applicable U.S. state choices before activation. This is a plan, not a claim that a consent banner is already operating or that compliance has been certified. If we actually add another ad network, we will identify it, link to its policies and available opt-out settings, and describe its practices here.
Links to outside sources take you to other websites. Their privacy policies and practices apply there; we do not control how those sites collect or use information.
Retention, security, and requests
Messages and related records may remain in our administrative mailbox and service-provider systems. We have not verified one fixed retention period across mail, logs, and backups, and we do not promise automatic deletion after a set number of days.
We use the site’s hosting and account-security features, but no website or email transmission is completely secure. Please limit what you send.
You can request correction or deletion of information you sent by using the Contact page. Describe the request without adding sensitive documents. We may need enough information to identify the relevant message and confirm the request. Some records may need to be retained for security, administrative, or legal reasons, and removal from provider backups may not be immediate. Available privacy rights depend on applicable law and your circumstances; this policy is not a guarantee of every legal right in every location.
Children and policy changes
Penny Desktop is intended for adults making everyday money decisions, not for children. Minors should not send personal or financial information through the contact form. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can assess the request.
We will revise this policy when our actual data practices materially change and update the date above. Please check it again before sending information if you want to understand the current practices.
